Highly Recommended!

To say that Image has been cranking out really great comics lately is the understatement of the year. I have even said, that if I had to drop all but one publisher, I would likely choose Image. They publish my favorite comics of all time: Chew, Creator-Owned Heroes, Saga, Fatale, Manhattan Projects… oh, and those all-time fan favorites: Walking Dead and Invincible. Seriously. They have and continue to knock it out of the park.

I believe Revival has the potential to fit in with these greats (as well as the others that have been release recently: America’s Got Powers, Dancer, Hell Yeah, Mind the Gap, Planetoid, Secret, etc.).

I had no idea what this book was going to be about. I never looked at any posters, solicitations, advertisements, etc. It was simply a random read recommended by Emil of Queen City Bookstore. I cannot say how lucky I was to have this recommended to me.

So what is it about this new series? Well, here is a list of my Top 5 reasons why I love where this book is and where it is going:

• You don’t know what it is really about - Aliens? Zombies? Disease?
• The Artwork is great; it is perfect fit for the feel of the book.
• The writing is great; it is well paced, and the plot points sprinkled in nicely.
• As a Rural Noir it has a different and refreshing environment for this kind of story - Winter in Wausau, WI…
• It is a great mix of mystery, suspense and violence!

So, go to your LCS, pick up a copy of Revival, add it to your subscription (pre-order it) and enJOY!
