After last issue’s cliffhanger, there were only a few ways this story could play out - and it went the way none of the characters, especially Black Widow, would want…

This was the perfect setup issue. There wasn’t a lot of action, and the dial didn’t move too far, but the table is now set - the next issue promises to be fantastic.

One thing that I especially liked about this issue was the amount of “side detail” that was included. Most of what made it into the book seemed like stuff that would normally be off-panel - instead, we get the minutia. This actually both serves the book, and detracts from what I have come to expect - action, suspense and killing - I guess even the best spy stories need a break to set things up…
