Recommendation: “Sigh”

I really did have high expectations for this issue. Like many, this “Stay Angry” arc has smashed my expectations into submission. I was hopeful though - I really thought this would be the redeeming issue…

I am sorry to report that it did not live up to my high expectation for its redemption. In fact, it barely exceeded my busted up expectations for this series as related to this arc - just. So, while there is mention of each aspect of Hulk’s journey (Mexico, Atlantis, Space, Sasquatch Woods, and finally the Antarctic), the conclusion leaves much to be desired.

There are some redeeming characteristics - the “final battle” architected by Banner to get Hulk riled up enough to complete his plan was actually pretty good. I love a good Wolverine / Thing / Hulk smash up - which for the most part was delivered nicely.

In any case, it looks like the next arc will be more of the same - Banner trying to kill Hulk and Hulk continuing to try to kill Banner. With only a three more issues to go in the series, it may be worth seeing it through, you know, for collection purposes… I will, I guess.

Sadly, for me, this arc was most definitely not worth reading - and I am pretty easily entertained. Sigh.
